ISSUE: #5 | APRIL / 2017

Hello ,

Welcome to our April newsletter! This was a month of leadership for Fairbanks Energy. We brought together the entire team from our three office locations to talk about future growth, next steps for the company, and current projects as we continue to lead energy efficiency initiatives in markets across New England and the Midwest.

Additionally, three (!) of our executives were featured in industry publications for their insight into some of today's leading trends and topics for energy efficiency. Ross, Adam, and Coy published to Facility Executive, Utility Post, and Data Center Knowledge, respectively.

 In the following newsletter:

  • Thought Leaders: Ross Fairbanks, Adam Fairbanks, and Coy Stine each published in their fields of expertise this April.
  • Upcoming Events: Take note of the events we are attending in the upcoming months. In turn, be sure to let us know what to add to our calendar!
  • Fairbanks Fun: Click through, below, to view the fun photo editorial from our company gathering in Boston this April.
  • From the Blog: Our most recent posts to the company blog, Energy Insights

As always, we remain active in the energy industry and we'll keep you updated along the way.

If you have questions about our company or your next efficiency project, just reach out.

"Over the last 10 years, there has been a movement at educational institutions to be more energy efficient and environmentally friendly. Many institutions have implemented sustainability programs and are actively working towards more efficient facilities, greener facility management, and a gentler environmental impact..."

Free Money for Your Data Center Efficiency Project: Harness Utility Incentives
by Adam Fairbanks, CEO, Fairbanks Energy Services for Utility Post

Adam Fairbanks writes on the significance of employing utility incentives in the data center space in "Free Money for Your Data Center Efficiency Project: Harness Utility Incentives."

"With the enormous amount of energy still being consumed by data centers, utility companies in recent years have been offering incentive programs to data center owners and operators who are interested in upgrading their facilities to be more efficient. These utility incentives are often key for data centers to identify, implement, and maintain the solutions necessary to keep energy usage low..."

Mashup: Monitoring Data Center Power and Cooling Simultaneously
by Coy Stine, VP Data Center Division, Fairbanks Energy Services for Data Center Knowledge

Coy Stine contributed an article to Data Center Knowledge's Industry Perspectives titled "Mashup: Monitoring Data Center Power and Cooling Simultaneously".

"In my experience, monitoring both power and cooling data together offers much more value than monitoring either one alone. Working in the field of data center efficiency, my team is consistently surprised to see that far too many data centers still have four to five different monitoring or automation systems running concurrently, each independently handling a different critical system (generators, HVAC, power distribution, server monitoring, temperature monitoring, etc.)..."
