There is a no shortage of energy efficiency projects in the Boston area.
Today, Fairbanks Energy Services said that it has completed work on more than 20 projects for the Massachusetts General Hospital system. The press release says that the overall initiative included 22 LED lighting and advanced control installations on the main campus and in other facilities in metro Boston.
The LEDs and ancillary equipment was installed in hallways, common areas, warehouses, building entrances, exterior areas, labs, administration offices and cafeterias and cafes. Fairbanks used rebates of $727,000 from Eversource and National Grid.
The most recent work was at the Yawkey Building, where 890 fluorescent fixtures were replaced. The project resulted in an annual energy reduction of 445,000 kWh.
